Later this month I will announce a competition with a difference. Howz.com are donating a starter kit worth £199! The idea behind this great device is to enable relatives and carers to go about their daily lives knowing that their loved ones or clients/patients are safe.
You will both need to be connected to the internet in order for this device to work and access the app via a smart phone, tablet or laptop/desk computer.
So how does this kit work?
Sensors are placed around the home and alert the relative or carer via their mobile phone or computer app to enable them to see what action is being performed. Sensors are usually placed in the hall, by the kettle, by the television, by the front door etc.
'The starter kit is our recommended option to introduce howz to your relative’s home. The sensors will report use of appliances, movement, and door opening and closing. Additional sensors can be purchased if needed. The kit comes with full instructions to set up your monitoring account and help with pairing your sensors on my.howz.com. The use of adhesive pads makes installation quick and easy. If you need any help with installation please get in touch.'
'This kit includes the first 3 months free subscription to our service ensuring you get up to date information, alerts, and notifications. After 3 months the subscription will be just £5 per month (plus VAT). You will be able to add your subscription via this site in January 2018.'
